Hi I’m Tony M and I’ve been attending Parkinson’s Disease (PD) balance class with Laura for a bit over a year. I really enjoy attending the class. The exercises have been tailored to help my awareness of falls, mental concentration, improved posture & movement, walking gait, and to strengthen muscles needed for balance which all deteriorate as PD progresses. Through my class attendance I have noticed a definite improvement in all these areas.

Laura makes the program fun, she really cares about our attendees personally adapting the exercises to meet the classes various stages of PD. Laura & the members of our PD class get along great which is a real encouragement and an incentive to keep attending.

I have been training with Laura for the last 6 months. It is the first time I have workout with a personal trainer and the experience cannot be more rewarding. Laura has not only changed my body and weight but my mind and soul. She is always so lovely, approachable, caring and accomodating to my needs, capacity and injuries, while still pushing me to work hard to achieve my goals. As a bonus she is never in a rush to get you out the door and always chatting (I call it our counselling sessions).

Training with Laura has changed my life – I initially wanted to start PT to strengthen my muscles to support my back, which I have had issues with for years. Laura’s training has improved my body strength from head to toe. My back has never felt better. She devised a program which has slowly progressed to improve my muscle strength as well as cardio. I have been training with Laura every week for 3 months and have already seen great results. I’ve lost over 7 kgs and can feel my body improving and getting stronger every time I train. Laura motivates me to be a better and stronger version of myself, physically and mentally, every time I see her, and I would strongly recommend her to any one that is looking for a trainer.
Before I started to train with Laura, I completely lost my motivation to train, was feeling lost in the direction to take my physical health, and had no confidence in working out by myself. In our first session Laura showed me the correct way to do exercises I didn’t realise I was doing wrong and has introduced me into a whole new world of training. She has made me enjoy what I’m doing in the gym and has made me feel more comfortable while doing it.
Training with Laura is great, our training sessions are something I look forward to every week. Each time we go through a personalised program, which includes weight, core and cardio training, that Laura created for me with exercises that progresses my fitness incredibly. I can do exercises I never would’ve imagined I’d be able to do, and I get stronger every week. She encourages me and celebrates even the smaller wins which I find hard to do for myself. Not only is Laura an amazing trainer with great knowledge of her work, but she’s an even better person and friend, she has been a great support for me from the start. She is always there for me for anything and I could not have asked for anyone better.

I approached pe movement with a fitness issue that has been a struggle for me to achieve for a very long time. Pe movement who is run by Laura has helped me not only with my confidence and mental state but also with my physical goals as well. The results were not only visible to myself but other people close to me noticed changes as well. One thing I like about training with Laura is she is so motivating and actually feels like a close friend and a personal trainer at the same time. I would recommend training with Laura to anyone with any fitness goal as her knowledge of the fitness industry is like no other.

I started training with Laura at the start of 2017 and I approached her with an extensive list of injuries, chronic fatigue and complete exhaustion and to be honest, I had lost my mojo to train which I once loved to do.

Laura took the time to sit down and discuss with me what my goals were for this year, before putting too much pressure on myself with food ect. (like I had done previously) Laura took the time to write my program and assess my body and strength to start working towards my goals.

Going back a few years ago I wasn’t able deadlift, squat or even do a push up due to my back injury. Laura has since watched and critiqued me and I am now able to do all three of these movements, amazingly pain free. Laura has helped me with my form and guided me to do these exercises correctly, which for so many years I was doing incorrectly which caused a lot of my injuries. I feel stronger than I have ever before and I would be where I am today without her guidance, support and her time.

Moving more towards my chronic fatigue and food habits, I was over training not eating the right foods and overall causing so much damage to my body. Laura has sat down with me and helped me on numerous occasions to teach me to rest when I am tired (not quit) and not to be scared of certain foods that I use to not eat at the risk of gaining weight. I sleep a lot better now and I can train without feeling so fatigued and I feel overall like a new person.

I also went to Laura as I was tired of slugging it out every day at the gym doing hours of cardio and also doubling up on multiple sessions a day, which wasn’t helping my tired fatigued injured body. Laura put together my 4 week weights program and I would only have to train at the gym once a day for about an hour, and I also get 2 days’ rest. I can feel my self-getting stronger every week, however I was shocked to see when I jumped on the scales that I had lost 2.5kg in 1 week which I wasn’t trying to do and I hadn’t gone super strict on my diet, I was still enjoying life with eating healthy but with following everything on Laura’s program I was able to see these amazing results, and this just goes to show that you can see result with weight training you don’t need to smash out cardio sessions after cardio sessions to see results. I honestly cannot wait to see how my body changes in the next few weeks.

Laura dedicates her time to help others in their fitness journey and has such passion to help others better themselves in their journey, she dedicates so much time to her clients with constant support whenever you need.

My name is Ceylan Fletcher, I have been struggling with weight, confidence and mental health issues for as long as I can remember. I moved to Sydney at the start of 2017. I went to gym after gym trying to find the right fit for me, then I met Laura. Laura was a personal trainer at another gym before she branch out and created her own business the PE Movement. As soon as I met Laura I knew I had found the trainer, friend and the inspirational person I had been looking for.

Laura was able to see the strengths in my training, the weaknesses and the areas that needed refining. I have some health issues that make certain exercises painful, she created innovative ways to work around these issues and from week to week I began to see my body change. I have been going to the gym and working out all my life but in the year I have know Laura I have developed skills and seen a change in my body I had never seen before.

Laura has a passion to help people, she understands that health and wellbeing is not just a physical but It is a mental issue as well. She created an environment of trust, fun and friendship. She understands that a holistic approach one that tackles fitness and mental health is the most effective way to create a happy life. My time with Laura and the PE Movement gave me a greater outlook on life, I had someone to talk to when the days were hard and a safe place to be myself, train, make mistakes, learn and laugh.

If your looking for someone who offers so much more than the generic personal trainer, someone that will guide you and revel in your triumphs, some one that supports you to be the best you can be, then Laura and the PE Movement is exactly what you have been looking for.

I no longer live in Sydney, but Laura still offers guidance and training, diet and mental health support.

I started with Laura after a few weeks at the gym not really knowing what I was doing. Since starting with Laura I’ve seen huge improvements in my lifting, body and mood.
